How to create a Virtual Directory (Application for Asp.net)

If you need asp.net to operate out of the root directory, eg www.yourdomain.com/directory/something.aspx you will need to create an application in IIS6 for the website to run.

1... Login to you Control Panel at http://control.apexhost.net.au

2... Once logged in hover over the Web Icon then select Web Sites

3... Click on your domain name link

4... Click on the Virtual Dirs tab

5... Click on create directory

6... In the Directory Name field enter the name of your new Virtual Directory

7... In the folder feild click on it and select the folder you wish to point the virtual folder to (clicking the arrow next to the folder name will discplay its contents)

8... Click on the create directory to complete.
